Common Issues

by @JimmyDeveloper1 year ago

Hello! Logic World has been out for a few hours now, and we’re so excited to see so many people playing it! A number of you have reported issues with the game, and we’ll be fixing as much as we can very soon, but for now here are the most common issues that we’ve been seeing. If you think something else should be added to this post, leave it in a comment below.

I’m playing in multiplayer, and there are crazy bugs all over the place!

Multiplayer is the buggiest part of Logic World right now. Multiplayer is inherently extremely complex, and it was not tested much before launch. So, there are a lot of issues that arise only in Multiplayer. Sorry about this—we’ll be fixing the bugs soon, but this IS early access :)

Sometimes the crazy multiplayer bugs can corrupt your save. If this happens, you should be able to recover it from an auto-backup; the server will create a backups folder and copy your world to it every five minutes.

I’m playing in multiplayer, and it’s extremely laggy

This is most likely because another player has SHINY BOBBY enabled, and there is currently a bug that makes SHINY BOBBY extremely laggy on some PCs. This will be fixed in 0.90.1, but for now you can go into graphics settings and disable real-time reflections. (You will then have to exit and rejoin the game, due to another bug that makes the setting not immediately apply :P)

I’m playing on Linux and sometimes all the text goes invisible!

Sorry, this is an issue with Unity and we’ll fix it as soon as we can. For now, avoid using labels with the monospace style, these are what trigger the bug. See #87 for discussion.

I cannot change the length of my delayer!

This is a bug and it will be fixed in version 0.90.1. For now, as a workaround, remove all wires attached to the delayer and then you will be able to change its length.

Guide for Reporting Issues

If you’ve found a bug with Logic World, that’s great! Please let us know so we can fix it as soon as possible. You can submit bug reports to the Issue Tracker. Here’s a guide for making good bug reports to help us out as much as possible:

  1. Figure out some step by step instructions to reliably reproduce the bug. Include these instructions in your report.
  2. Look in the console (open with the tilde/backtick key) for any errors. Click on an error to copy some additional information about it to your clipboard, and then paste that into your bug report. If there is a big long chain of errors, get information from the first one in the chain as it’s likely the cause of the others.
  3. Upload a screenshot of the bug, if applicable.
  4. Include which operating system you are on and basic information about your hardware.

Bug reports like that make it super easy to find and fix the issue. Thanks for your patience during this tumultuous time!

If you cannot create a teleportation flag anymore.
-> Delete the FlagOrderList file. (Or rename it and restart the world).
