Tools that would help designing circuits

A measuring tape (I just had to go through a gigantic display of mine measuring how many pixels it has, it wasn’t fun at all)
An osciloscope (measuring circuit’s output over time, useful when trying to debug timing issues)
Continuity tester (Did I wire this thing properly in that complicated CPU of mine?)
